Paint Mines Anniversary Session

we’re the universe

About two years ago, I photographed the wedding of Baylee and Aaron Daniecki. Not only that, but I have also shot their engagement and portraits. I love them so much that I also have cat and dog sat in their home! They have the cutest little fur family and I am always thrilled when they want their photos done with me. These two have become quite the adventurous ones. They recently bought a beautiful off-road vehicle that they’ve been camping with. The sad thing is, they still live in Georgia so I haven’t been able to do outdoorsy fun stuff with them! They told me they were planning on visiting Colorado and I immediately said they’re staying with me - no questions asked - and I was going to show them all that outdoorsy fun stuff I mentioned earlier. ;)

I had not been to the Paint Mines yet, but I had been dying to go. No these weren’t mountains and yes the Paint Mines were in the middle of nowhere.

Trying to follow the narrow trail wasn’t so easy. We kept losing track of it, but in the midst of getting lost these two didn’t have a care in the world.

We climbed onto rocks despite continuously scraping our exposed skin. These Paint Mines were pretty much an adult playground and museum in one!

Kisses on MArs

There are many reasons why this may be my favorite photo from this adventure. Aaron was whispering dumb things to Baylee, their natural expressions are everything.

As we made our way to what seemed to be a dead end, we found a quiet opening. Once going inside, we realized it was an empty cave.

The light peaking through the rocks made for the perfect mood.

Attempt to rearrange with you, baby

What a cozy little getaway! Glad to have spent a few days with this fully spirited couple showing them the wonders of Colorado.
