Kristin + Giovanni | Denver Courthouse and Capitol building Elopement

Kristin and Giovanni eloped on a snowy St. Patty’s day in downtown Denver. Kristin was prepared with snow day attire, a bouquet. and lots of info about where to be and who to meet with. These two found me last minute but were more ready than ever.

Our first stop? Balcony of the Denver courthouse.

They said I Do’s under tiny falling flakes of snow and in front of the clergy and Kristin’s parents.

They look at each other so sweetly impatiently wanting for the kiss.

Her parents wanted pictures of them two together - high school sweethearts!

And can you guess where we were headed next? Hint: it’s in the background ;)

After some FaceTime with Giovanni’s family in Italy, we went the short distance to the Capitol building for portraits. I had been dying to shoot in here for years - finally someone reached out about it!

Grateful for ya’ll! I was squealing the whole time.

Is it possible to drool over a staircase? Yes. It reminded me of the grand stairs in the Titanic movie.

They brought lil’ flags to rep their home country. I love that Giovanni had Kristin’s in hand and Kristin had Giovanni’s.

The architecture of every corridor and room was to die for.

The ornate archways especially. Too many to count!

Can you spot G + K? Check out that rounded ceiling.

The trees outside were covered in snow so I was hoping to capture some in the background. The outdoor archways were just as pretty as the ones inside.

Us: HEY I FOUND THE SPECIAL STEP, FOUND THE SPECIAL STEP

One mile above sea level exactly

Pro tip: Wait for the traffic light to turn red for no cars passing in the background

Giovanni was getting warming up being in front of the camera and did this sweet pose on his own! It makes me happy that during shoots, I can see folks coming out of their shells. It was also cool too be able to talk film with Kristin’s dad as we walked around. This day was unforgettable. I had been waiting so long for this and they blew it our of the water.

Have fun with Giovanni’s family at your party in Italy!
