Rachel + David | Mnt. Falcon (West) Stormy Elopement

Ah, this day was wild. Honestly, it just gets better as you scroll. I say this because the light was changing drastically from this weather. We had strong wind, bright light, soft golden light, and total dark skies - R + D were down for the whole ride.

PS, You’re not going to want to miss the last photo.

If you decide you want an elopement, you can still have your loved ones walk you down the green aisle. Yeah, the green aisle. Grass, duh. I love how green the grass gets this time of year.

We all hiked to this spot and they brought a little speaker to play a song as Rachel walked down.

David’s expression as he sees her / looks at her is priceless.

Again if you elope, it’s what you make it! Have a whole wedding party on the mountain with ya.

Bring on more tears.

The immediate big hug after the I Do was so adorable.

And more hugs in bright light. The sun was so warm but it was leaving soon.

I usually don’t share giant group photos but everyone looks so good here!

We all took this view in as the wind got louder. The rest of the party and family headed back down the trail as Rachel and David signed their marriage license.

Had a bird photo bomb for a sec, hey fella.

Can’t forget those small details. If they are tiny, don’t hesitate to point them out to me!

Couldn’t help but snap some more shots of this insane sky as we finished up portraits. Storm was brewin’ so we had to get ready to head back down to the cars.

Utilizing this wind for a few last shots as I saw some lightning flash in the corner of my eye.

Rachel and David had been so fun and friendly this evening so I mentioned we wait maybe a few more minutes to see if we could catch it. We chatted for a bit then BOOM..

It was a quiet crack as David was looking at Rachel mid-convo. I’m so happy that it fell right behind them and with the happy expression on David’s face. What a perfect ending as we’re standing on this mountain top in warm air all alone. With that, we booked it back down and beat the rain.

Thank you for your patience R + D, you’re the best! xo
